Local Verified ✓
A trusted, named local expert verified or contributed the recommendation. Shows contributor, expertise, location, and verification date.
Source Verified
Researched against credible sources, but we have not personally experienced the place. We do not imply firsthand experience.
Principles
Affiliate relationships never influence recommendations
Where we link to booking partners, that relationship is disclosed — and it is kept logically separate from editorial ranking. Commission cannot buy a higher spot.
Sponsored content cannot buy ranking
Sponsorship, if we ever accept it, is clearly labeled and never presented as editorial judgment.
Comped experiences are disclosed
If a contributor's visit was hosted or comped, we say so on the review.
Firsthand claims require firsthand experience
We do not write 'we loved the view' from behind a desk. Field Reviewed means a named team member physically went.
Local Verified means a real named contributor
Not a pseudonym, not an aggregate. A person with stated expertise and a location.
Factual information links to reliable sources
Safety, trail conditions, park rules, and logistics cite credible current sources where practical — with a last-checked date.
Old reviews show visit dates
Content can be updated without pretending a new visit occurred. The original visit date stays visible.
Errors can be submitted for correction
